Maintenance and support for Medusa

A shop is not a delivery you put in a drawer. Medusa, the storefront and the integrations need updates, and someone who picks up when a payment gets stuck. We do that on weekdays from 09:00 to 16:30 Central European Time. No 24/7 promise we cannot keep.

What we do

What is included

01

Updates

Medusa, the storefront and dependencies, first on an environment that is not the live shop. Only then production.

02

Keeping an eye on things

Whether the shop is up and whether the agreed integrations still run. We agree on the depth of that monitoring. A vague 'we'll keep an eye on it' is not an agreement.

03

Small changes

A text, a rate, a field, a fix. Bigger pieces — a new channel, a new integration — are a project, not a maintenance ticket.

04

A person on the line

Call or email during office hours. The response time is set in the proposal.

Who it is for

Who this fits

  • Teams with a live Medusa shop and no development capacity of their own.
  • Organisations that run the shop in-house but do not want to carry updates and incidents themselves.
  • Our clients after a build or migration, and teams with an existing Medusa shop built elsewhere — after a short look at the code.

Honest advice

When we advise against it

  • A sleep mode where nobody may touch the shop and updates pile up for years. Then a contract is a paper blanket.
  • A 24/7 on-call service. We do not offer that as standard.

Price

What determines the price

A custom quote after a free intro call. These factors determine the price, not a menu.

How much can break
A shop with three integrations needs more oversight than a shop that only does catalogue and checkout.
Who runs the hosting
If we may manage the environment, incidents are shorter than when we first have to wait for a third party's account.
How many small changes
A bucket of hours per month is different from 'just updates, and call if it breaks'.
Response time
Same working day is different from within the hour. A faster response time is a separate agreement and not silently included in a base fee.

Process

The process

  1. 01

    Getting to know the code

For a shop we did not build: read first. Without that, a maintenance contract is guesswork.

  2. 02

    Agreements on one page

What is included, what is not, when we are available and how you report an issue.

  3. 03

    Fixed rhythm

Updates in a fixed window on weekdays, not quietly on a Friday evening.

  4. 04

    Report

Short: what was updated, what is open, what becomes a separate project.

FAQ

Questions we often get

Question not listed? Request a callback.

Are you on standby 24 hours a day?

No. We are available on weekdays from 09:00 to 16:30 CET. Evening and weekend cover only if we explicitly agree it. Then it is in the proposal, not in a footnote.

What does maintenance cover?

Updates to Medusa and the storefront, an eye on the agreed environment, and small changes within the agreed hours. A new integration or a redesign is a project.

Do you also do small changes?

Yes, within the agreed scope. An endless wish list does not belong in a fixed monthly fee. Whatever does not fit is quoted separately.

Where does the hosting run?

New shops run on Medusa Cloud by default, in the Europe Central region (Frankfurt). The account is in the client's name, as is the code on GitHub. You pay for hosting directly and can also host it yourself. Shingyo runs on Vercel and Supabase.

Can we work in the Medusa admin ourselves?

Yes. Products, prices and orders belong to your team, not to the agency. We look after the technology and set up who has which rights. Advanced enterprise permissions only if needed, with the licence that comes with them.

What is your challenge?

Twelve shops that need to become one, an ERP that sets the price, or a checkout that does not do what you want. Tell us in one call. You will hear honestly whether Medusa fits.
